Impact Data Analytics Intern

Introduction
VisionFund International, the microfinance arm of World Vision, is offering a three-month Impact Data Analytics Internship for students and recent graduates passionate about data, impact measurement, and social transformation. This role provides hands-on experience in analyzing data that drives global poverty reduction through financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

Measure Client Outcomes: Support survey implementation to assess the impact of VisionFund’s financial products, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and improve feedback systems.

Benchmark Industry Performance: Compare internal microfinance data with external sector benchmarks to identify strengths and improvement areas.

Monitor Strategy Execution: Collaborate with the Strategy Realization team to design and update dashboards that inform decision-making.

Support Systems Integration: Assist with linking impact and operational data to improve performance across VisionFund’s microfinance institutions (MFIs).

Ensure Data Quality: Conduct data validation and reliability checks to maintain high standards of accuracy.

Sector Research: Explore global trends, evidence, and best practices in financial inclusion and microfinance impact assessment.

Qualifications and Requirements

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, or similar data analytics tools.

Strong skills in data visualization and storytelling through charts and dashboards.

Ability to conduct thorough online research and synthesize insights.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Interest in microfinance, poverty reduction, and social impact analysis.

Commitment to World Vision’s Christian mission and values.

At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Current student or recent graduate (within 2 years) in Economics, Business, Data Analytics, International Development, or related fields.

Availability for 20–40 hours per week throughout the internship period.

Willingness to use personal devices with WVI’s security software installed.
