Position Overview
The Virtual Caseworker will provide virtual case management and direct assistance under the Virtual Reception & Placement (VR&P) program. The primary caseload will consist of Afghan walk-in Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders within 90 days of arrival, with additional refugee cases as assigned throughout FY2025.
Key Responsibilities

Manage assigned caseloads, ensuring timely delivery of all core services and per capita direct assistance to each client.

Establish and maintain relationships with local agencies to connect clients with needed services and benefits.

Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of all case files per program guidelines.

Support the team during monitoring visits by IRC, state, or federal agencies.

Provide responsive and client-centered service delivery through timely interventions.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field (preferred).

At least 2 years of experience in USRAP Reception & Placement case management.

Experience with virtual case management strongly preferred.

Fluency in English (written and spoken) and proficiency in Dari or Pashto is required.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, case management databases, and email.

Experience using Evidence to Outcomes (ETO) software preferred.

Familiarity with resettlement in California, Virginia, Texas, or Florida is an asset.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
