Role Overview
As Technical Service Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Tiko’s implementation of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), Mental Health services, and quality assurance programs. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will lead the Quality Services and Partnerships departments while working closely with governments, funders, and implementing partners to ensure high standards and alignment across Tiko’s markets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop a comprehensive strategic plan to integrate technical services into Tiko’s operations across all markets.
- Standardize user journeys for technical services to ensure consistency and quality in delivery.
- Align services with national guidelines and international best practices.
Program Implementation
- Oversee the delivery of SGBV, Mental Health, and Quality Services across Tiko’s markets.
- Build and manage partnerships with governments, implementing partners, and funders to strengthen service offerings.
- Ensure capacity building within teams to meet new technical standards and ensure deliverables.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL)
- Lead research efforts to gather evidence-based insights on SGBV, Mental Health, and Quality Assurance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to publish findings and establish Tiko as a thought leader.
Documentation & Capacity Building
- Document learnings from new initiatives to refine strategies and inform future programming.
- Strengthen internal capacity to deliver high-quality technical services through training and mentorship.
About You

- Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and scaling departments.
- Strong collaboration skills, especially in working with governments and funders in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Excellent project management and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
Experience
- Mandatory: Background in Public Health with proven experience designing and measuring public health programs.
- Minimum of 10 years working on SGBV, Mental Health, Quality Assurance, and partnerships.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in SRH programs targeting adolescents and young people.
- Knowledge of MERL methodologies; experience in digital health is a plus.

- South Africa: R78,828 – R118,242
- Kenya: Ksh574,706 – Ksh862,059
- Ethiopia: €3,594 – €5,391
- Burkina Faso: CFA1,761,600 – CFA2,642,400
- Uganda: UGX18,083,325 – UGX27,124,987
