Position Overview

The OBC Specialist will support Chemonics’ business conduct program to ensure adherence to ethical standards, compliance with laws and regulations, and promotion of honest and responsible business practices. This includes conducting investigations, facilitating training, refining policies, and collaborating across teams to uphold Chemonics’ values and legal requirements.

This role combines project management, technical expertise, and leadership competencies to promote organizational integrity and prevent misconduct.


Key Responsibilities

Business Integrity Analysis

  • Analyze business integrity issues and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Provide guidance on compliance with procurement, financial management, and personnel policies.
  • Monitor trends in business ethics and regulatory changes.

Issue Investigation and Resolution

  • Lead investigations of allegations related to fraud, waste, or abuse.
  • Conduct interviews, review evidence, and determine necessary corrective actions.
  • Prepare disclosure reports for clients’ fraud units, as required.

Reporting and Risk Mitigation

  • Prepare reports for executives, boards, and stakeholders on business conduct program performance.
  • Collaborate with teams to assess and address ethics and compliance risks.
  • Manage and promote the business conduct helpline and OBC SharePoint.

Policy Development and Compliance

  • Refine corporate policies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop tools, templates, and manuals to support organizational integrity.
  • Promote adherence to business conduct standards through rapport-building and feedback.

Training and Awareness

  • Develop and deliver training on business conduct policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the annual online business conduct training program, including content creation and reporting.
  • Plan and facilitate events such as “Living Our Values Integrity Week.”

Departmental Support

  • Manage daily activities and projects to ensure compliance with Chemonics’ quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively to promote teamwork, respect, and constructive feedback.
  • Perform administrative and technical tasks as assigned.

Professional Development

  • Participate in educational workshops and professional networks to enhance expertise.
  • Contribute to new business activities, including proposal development.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in administration, compliance, or investigations.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • Experience conducting investigations.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles or training experience.
  • Familiarity with government contracting regulations.
  • Previous experience living or working in developing countries.

Compensation & Benefits
