Senior Process Analyst, Community Organizing Experience
Location: Remote
Salary Range: $94,094 – $142,196 annually (adjusted for international applicants)
About the Role
The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Senior Process Analyst to support and empower community organizers within the Wikimedia movement. These organizers play a crucial role in creating and implementing campaigns, events, and collaborations to enhance Wikipedia and its sister projects, ensuring inclusive and effective community building.
As part of the Community Growth team, you will co-design and implement workflows and best practices to help organizers reach their goals of improving content, retaining contributors, and fostering community connections.
Key Responsibilities
Community Organizing
- Design and co-create best practices to enhance organizer skills, capacity, and impact.
- Facilitate alignment between organizers and other Wikimedia contributor cohorts, such as facilitators and moderators.
- Develop workflows for tool adoption and program design that improve newcomer retention and edit quality.
- Use data-driven decision-making to help organizers improve their campaigns and events.
Collaboration & Learning
- Align cross-team support for Wikimedia organizers, ensuring access to relevant resources.
- Contribute to organization-wide learning about the role and impact of community organizers.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience, Master’s degree + 3 years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with the Wikimedia movement, including contributing to Wikimedia projects or organizing campaigns.
- Experience developing workflows and project management tools.
- Proficiency in designing learning materials and workshops in multicultural settings.
- Commitment to equity-first approaches, especially with Global South communities.
- Strong written and spoken English (non-native English speakers encouraged to apply).
