Senior Officer, Projects – The Hunger Project
Position Overview
The Hunger Project seeks a Senior Officer, Projects to manage and support the day-to-day execution of a multi-country, multi-million-dollar, multi-year grant. This term-limited position will provide guidance and support to Program Country Offices, ensuring smooth navigation of award terms, work planning, and proactive identification and resolution of challenges.
- Location: Fully remote (NY/NJ/CT staff may use the office).
- Duration: 18-month fixed term, with potential for extension.
- Reports to: Senior Manager, Grants and Compliance.
- Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 USD.
- Additional Benefits: $18,000 annualized cafeteria plan allowance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support project execution, ensuring alignment with the grant’s objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with Program Country Offices to navigate award terms and manage work plans.
- Proactively identify challenges and implement solution-oriented strategies.
- Act as a liaison between program teams, finance, and development teams to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Support external communications to strengthen The Hunger Project’s visibility and engagement with stakeholders.
- Uphold The Hunger Project’s culture of kindness and collaboration while driving results.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in managing cross-functional international development programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-country, multi-year grants.
- Highly organized with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to navigate and manage award terms and compliance requirements.
Eligibility:
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (current or future).
