About the Role

PSI is looking for a Senior Manager, Regional Finance Operations (Francophone) to provide strategic and operational financial support to its French-speaking country offices in Africa, along with selected English-speaking offices. You’ll serve as a key counterpart to Country Directors of Finance and Administration, ensuring robust financial systems, compliance, training, and audit preparedness across your portfolio.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role with significant regional responsibilities, including training, audits, financial reviews, and system implementations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Balance Sheet Oversight: Review monthly financial packets and address balance sheet issues, ensuring alignment with PSI’s global financial policies.

  • Policy Implementation: Support change management around new finance policies and systems at HQ and country level.

  • Systems Leadership: Guide the rollout and maintenance of ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise, Infor Lawson).

  • Capacity Building: Assist in recruiting and onboarding of country finance leads. Deliver on-site and remote training to strengthen finance team capacity.

  • Audit Support: Lead efforts in local audit preparation and post-audit remediation. Liaise between country offices and PSI’s HQ External Audit team.

  • Collaboration and Supervision: Act as a first line of support for in-country finance leads and may directly supervise some finance staff.

  • Travel: Provide on-site support through regular regional travel (up to 50%).


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred).

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance/accounting (preferably in NGO or international development settings).

    • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.

    • Experience working with ERP systems like QuickBooks Enterprise or Lawson.

    • Familiarity with donor regulations (USAID, Global Fund, FCDO).

  • Languages: Fluency in both English and French is required.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.

    • Strong knowledge of financial systems and internal controls.

    • Experience working in cross-cultural and remote environments.


Salary & Benefits

Salary Range (Kenya example):

  • Minimum: Ksh 5,460,000

  • Midpoint: Ksh 9,100,000

  • Maximum: Ksh 11,830,000
