Job Purpose
World Vision International (WVI) is seeking a strategic, experienced, and dynamic Senior Manager, Internal Communications to lead its global internal communications team. This pivotal role ensures that nearly 35,000 staff members across the global Partnership are informed, engaged, and inspired to fulfill WVI’s mission with clarity and purpose.
This position is fully remote and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by elevating internal communication strategies and fostering a culture of pride and advocacy within a faith-driven humanitarian organization.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Effective, Inspirational Internal Communications

Lead a modern, fit-for-purpose global internal communications and staff engagement strategy.
Content Oversight & Channel Management

Oversee WVI’s internal communication channels such as intranet, newsletters, town halls, leadership messages, and social enterprise tools.

Ensure content is high-quality, timely, relevant, and engaging.

Implement editorial standards and content governance.
Team Management

Supervise and mentor a team of three internal communications officers and one global events coordinator.

Set clear goals and support professional development.

Promote a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Employee Engagement & Organisational Culture

Lead storytelling and engagement efforts that build pride and reinforce organizational values and commitment to children.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement

Use data and staff feedback to assess communication effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.

Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to evaluate communication impact.

Support broader engagement efforts within the Global Marketing and Communications team.
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum 8 years’ experience in internal communications, including 3 years in a senior or strategic leadership role.

Proven success managing global communications strategies and multicultural teams.

Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.

Experience with digital platforms (e.g., intranet, newsletters, enterprise tools).

Strong cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills.

Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change through communication.

Availability for limited international travel (5–10%).
Preferred
-
Experience in international NGOs, faith-based, or mission-driven organizations.

Familiarity with global communication tools such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Viva Engage, and Workplace by Meta.

Understanding of change management principles in internal communications.
