Summary
The ASPCA is hiring a Senior Manager of Impact Measurement & Data Science (IMDS) to drive the evaluation of its animal welfare programs and support data-informed strategic decisions. As part of the Strategy & Research team, the Senior Manager will design and execute program evaluations, analyze data, and generate insights to advance ASPCA’s mission.
This role is ideal for an experienced evaluation and data science professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for collaborative impact measurement.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Program Evaluation (~50%)

Design and manage data collection and evaluation systems.

Develop procedures for input, reporting, and analysis.

Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure data quality.

Produce reports and visualizations tailored to multiple audiences.

Guide the interpretation and application of findings for program improvement.
🔹 Data Science (~30%)

Identify and assess quality of data sources.
-
Conduct literature reviews and recommend data sources for research.
-
Analyze data to evaluate programs and support decision-making.
🔹 Research Support (~20%)

Assist with data cleaning, management, and scientific literature searches.

Provide support for other researchers across the Strategy & Research team.
Qualifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years in program evaluation or applied research.

Experience with logic models and evaluation frameworks.
-
Strong data sourcing, management, and analysis skills.
-
Proficient in Excel; experience with Airtable preferred.

Familiarity with Google Scholar, PubMed, or other academic databases.

Strong writing, communication, and collaboration abilities.

Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
