Position Overview
The Senior Advancement Manager, Individual Giving will lead the development and execution of strategies for cultivating individual donors, helping meet Pacific Environment’s growing $10M+ budget. The role includes managing individual donor relationships, multi-channel fundraising, online campaigns, and stewardship programs. Reporting to the Senior Advancement Director, the position offers a mix of strategic planning and hands-on donor management responsibilities.
- Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, or other U.S. West Coast locations.
- Salary Range: $95,000 – $105,000 annually, plus full benefits.
Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy & Donor Engagement
- Develop and manage annual and long-term strategies for individual giving to increase donor acquisition, retention, and upgrades.
- Cultivate relationships with major gift prospects, donors, and family foundations.
- Execute multi-channel fundraising efforts, including direct mail, online campaigns, and events.
Donor Communications & Reporting
- Create donor appeals, updates, impact reports, case statements, and tailored asks.
- Design and implement a robust donor stewardship program, ensuring recurring giving and recognition efforts.
- Collaborate with the Communications Department to manage online fundraising, including at least four annual appeals and year-end campaigns.
Data Management & Analytics
- Maintain donor records in the CRM system (EveryAction experience preferred), ensuring data integrity and providing donor analytics for strategy refinement.
- Track and report on fundraising metrics and results.
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with program staff and leadership to align fundraising strategies with organizational goals.
- Assist with other advancement projects, including corporate giving initiatives, as needed.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in fundraising, with proven success in cultivating individual donors, including major gifts and online campaigns.
- Fundraising Goals: Demonstrated ability to manage and achieve annual fundraising targets of $1M+.
- Communication Skills: Strong storyteller with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in donor management systems (EveryAction preferred) and familiarity with data tracking and analytics.
- Organization & Planning: Highly organized, with strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Passion: Commitment to environmental protection, climate justice, and equity.
Preferred Skills:
- Creativity and a problem-solving mindset.
- Experience developing strategies for corporate giving.
- Knowledge of climate change, environmental justice, or nonprofit advocacy.
Work Environment & Requirements
- Remote: Work-from-home flexibility, with potential travel to the San Francisco Bay Area or for organizational events.
- Schedule: Requires working West Coast Time Zone hours, with occasional evening or weekend availability.
- COVID-19 Policy: All staff must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $95,000 – $105,000 annually.
