About the Role

The Salesforce Developer will support the Humanitarian Services Group by designing and maintaining custom Salesforce solutions. This includes developing Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex triggers, Salesforce Flows, and secure integrations with external systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, adherence to Salesforce best practices, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

This position is 100% remote within the U.S., working core business hours (9am–5pm EST). Extended hours/on-call support may be required during emergencies (e.g., hurricane season).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Lightning Web Components (LWC), responsive UIs, and community portals.

  • Build and optimize custom Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, and Flows.

  • Create secure Salesforce integrations with external systems (REST/SOAP/Bulk APIs, MuleSoft).

  • Develop Force.com applications and support deployment via CI/CD tools.

  • Maintain technical documentation, conduct code reviews, and ensure unit test coverage.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve development, testing, and production issues.

  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum events, providing input and estimating LOE.

  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and business teams to deliver mission-aligned solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years Salesforce development experience (4+ years total IT experience).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (Developer II, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud certifications preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with Aura and LWC, Apex, Visualforce, and Flows.

  • General web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

  • Proven experience integrating Salesforce with external systems.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps) and VS Code IDE.

  • Strong knowledge of Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II, Service Cloud Consultant, or Experience Cloud Consultant certifications.

  • Experience in agile, pod-based development teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 annually (based on location and experience; no annual bonus).
