This consultancy falls under the Division of Circular Economy and Green Industry (TCS/CEG), specifically the Circular Resource Efficiency Unit (TCS/CEG/CRE), which works to promote resource-efficient and circular production systems across industrial sectors.
Project Background
This assignment supports the EU-funded project “Support for small and medium-sized enterprises’ transition towards a green and circular economy”, implemented across eight Southern Mediterranean countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia. The project seeks to:

Support capacity-building and regional cooperation through knowledge dissemination
Role and Responsibilities
The Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) Industry Expert will provide technical support to identify, document, and promote resource-efficient and circular economy practices in the PCB value chain, particularly in Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, and Jordan.
Key Tasks and Deliverables

All work will be conducted remotely, with virtual engagement of local stakeholders and UNIDO teams.
Required Qualifications
Education:
-
Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in electrical/electronics engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, or environmental engineering
Professional Experience:

At least 7 years of experience in PCB manufacturing and optimization

Deep knowledge of the PCB supply chain and resource efficiency technologies

Prior experience in technical cooperation and circular economy projects

Strong analytical, research, and reporting skills
Languages:

Fluency in written and spoken English is required
