Organizational Context
The project UTF/BRA/089/BRA supports strengthening family farmers in Brazil to reduce poverty and revitalize rural areas. The goal is to implement differentiated policies and programs in areas such as rural extension, credit programs, land access, market access, and cooperativism.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct bibliographic research and data collection from institutional documents.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets relevant to the assignment.
- Identify geographic regions and states for analysis.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders, presenting results and clarifying queries.
- Participate in workshops and meetings on the topic.
- Provide technical support and monitor related actions with involved agencies.
- Provide parameters and information on agrarian conflict topics.
- Systematize material from the Speaks of the Earth Seminar.
- Develop a Work Plan and deliverables as outlined in the Terms of Reference.
Minimum Requirements
- Education:
University degree in Applied Human or Social Sciences as per the CAPES knowledge areas. - Experience:
- 8 years in human rights or activities addressing violence against family farmers, indigenous communities, or traditional peoples.
- Alternative combinations:
- Specialization + 5 years of experience.
- Master’s + 3 years of experience.
- Doctorate + 2 years of experience.
- Languages:
- Proficiency in Portuguese.
- Working knowledge (Level C) of English or Spanish.
- Residency:
Brazilian nationality or valid work permit in Brazil.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in studies on human rights, agrarian reform, or policies for traditional peoples.
