Job Overview

The Manager, Grants and Compliance plays a key role in overseeing the grants lifecycle and ensuring compliance with donor requirements across a complex international funding portfolio. This position reports to the Director of Finance and Grants and works closely with the Executive Director, Chief of Staff, regional hubs, and external donors.

This is a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Management and Compliance

  • Oversee full grants lifecycle including due diligence, contracting, deliverables, and close-out

  • Coordinate and prepare timely donor reporting across global and regional teams

  • Monitor donor requirements (private, bilateral, multilateral) and ensure organizational compliance

  • Assist with budget creation and monitoring to ensure alignment with grant terms

  • Draft/review grant agreements and amendments in collaboration with legal and finance teams

  • Track deadlines, terms, and deliverables, maintaining up-to-date records in Salesforce or similar systems

Donor Stewardship

  • Act as the main contact for funders on grant-related matters

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and funder briefings

  • Collaborate with Communications and Advocacy teams to align donor messaging with organizational goals

  • Track donor reporting cycles and renewal opportunities

Internal Coordination and Capacity Building

  • Strengthen collaboration across global teams and regional hubs

  • Provide guidance on donor compliance and reporting

  • Improve internal grant processes and documentation

  • Support resource planning for grant-funded initiatives

Strategic Alignment

  • Monitor trends in the global family planning donor landscape

  • Share insights to improve strategic alignment and collaboration

  • Contribute to proposal development and fundraising by offering data and compliance guidance

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Public Health, Public Administration, International Development, or related field preferred

  • 5–7 years of experience in grant management and compliance, ideally in global health or international development

  • Experience managing bilateral and private grants; knowledge of global south donors is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working across diverse teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred

  • Self-driven, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 5%)

  • Writing samples required during the interview process
