Job Purpose

The Layout Editor is responsible for transforming content into engaging, on-brand visual formats for both print and digital platforms. This role ensures design consistency, accessibility, and alignment with World Vision’s global brand. Collaborating closely with content and design teams, the Layout Editor helps amplify the organization’s message through thoughtful visual storytelling.


Key Responsibilities

Layout & Design Production

  • Create layouts for a variety of formats: reports, brochures, digital publications, presentations

  • Ensure alignment with brand guidelines and design systems

Collaboration & Consultation

  • Work with writers, designers, and brand leads to develop creative, impactful designs from concept to completion

Quality Control & Consistency

  • Review materials for formatting, alignment, accessibility, and adherence to brand standards across print and digital platforms

Template Development & Project Management

  • Develop and maintain design templates for recurring publications and campaigns

  • Manage multiple design projects, meet deadlines, and maintain organized project documentation

Innovation & Learning

  • Stay up-to-date with design trends and best practices

  • Contribute to internal creative engagement initiatives


Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or certificate in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field

Experience

  • 2–4 years of layout or graphic design experience

  • Experience supporting editorial teams and applying brand guidelines

  • Background in the humanitarian, non-profit, or faith-based sector is a plus

Skills

  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Canva

  • Strong typography and layout skills; understanding of grid systems and accessibility

  • Knowledge of pre-press and digital publishing standards

Language

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
