About the Program:
This Kiva contractor role is a 6-month, part-time (32 hours per week), Colombia-based, remote position. It is part of an entry-level program offering early-career professionals a high-caliber learning experience. Interns will participate in educational, social, and professional development activities, gaining exposure to microfinance, social impact investing, and nonprofit technology operations. The role also provides networking opportunities across global teams.

Our Team:
Kiva’s Impact Investments team works with partner lending institutions and borrowers from around the world. The team is responsible for sourcing, monitoring, and managing these relationships, onboarding new partners, and ensuring compliance with Kiva’s mission and policies. Staff are based across the US, Kenya, Thailand, and Colombia.

Your Role:
The Investment Analyst Contractor will support the Impact Investments Team in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) by contributing to financial and social impact monitoring of partner institutions.

Primary Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management: Support Investment Associates and Managers in monitoring and analyzing financial performance of investees
Due Diligence: Assist in evaluating potential investments through financial and social performance assessment
Interest Rate/Borrower Cost Analysis: Assess total loan costs in comparison with local markets
Impact Evaluation: Help determine social impact using Kiva’s defined metrics

Qualifications:
At least 21 years of age or older by July 15th, 2025
Must be authorized to work in Colombia
Bachelor or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related fields (or relevant experience through internships)
1+ years of experience in Impact Investment, Finance, Lending, or Consulting (internships count)
Training or experience in financial statement analysis
Spanish fluency and B2-level English
Strong independence, attention to detail, and proactivity
Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office tools
6-month minimum commitment required, 1 year highly preferred
Based in Bogotá with remote/flexible work arrangement
