Internship Overview

IEEFA is seeking a New Energy Technologies Intern to support its research on green hydrogen and energy storage. This internship involves conducting in-depth secondary and primary research, analyzing global trends, and contributing to policy recommendations that influence the deployment of sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct primary and secondary research on energy technologies including green hydrogen and energy storage

• Track and analyze global developments in green hydrogen policies, standards, and markets

• Identify investment drivers and challenges in the green hydrogen sector

• Support the creation of policy recommendations for the energy storage sector

• Track innovation, use cases, and regulatory gaps in energy storage technology

• Contribute to the preparation of research notes, reports, presentations, and datasets

• Engage in team discussions, reviews, and brainstorming sessions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Energy Studies, Public Policy, Management, CFA, or related field

• Experience in data collection and secondary research

• Strong interest in renewable energy, climate finance, and sustainable development

• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or collaboratively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data organization tools

• Commitment to IEEFA’s mission and values

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of the energy industry

• Familiarity with PowerPoint, Tableau, Stata, R, or Python
