CREA provides independent data and analysis to empower policymakers, civil society, and the public in advancing clean energy and air quality reforms.


Role Summary

CREA is seeking a full-time Industry Analyst to support its Indonesia program. The Analyst will research and assess Indonesia’s industrial sector—especially metals and energy-intensive industries—with a focus on energy consumption, emissions, and air quality. The role is remote and reports to the Indonesia Program Lead.


Key Responsibilities

  • Track industrial and energy developments relevant to emissions and air quality in Indonesia

  • Analyze trends in technologies, fuel use, industrial parks, and captive power supply

  • Review emissions standards and air pollution control measures

  • Analyze complex datasets: plant-level emissions, energy use, industrial capacities, air quality data

  • Produce written outputs: reports, policy briefs, presentations, and articles

  • Support partner engagement and CREA project delivery

  • Collaborate with CREA’s global team and Indonesian stakeholders


Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial engineering, energy policy, economics, environmental science, or a related field

  • At least 4 years of experience in industrial energy systems, emissions research, or energy-related consulting in Indonesia

  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (spoken and written)

  • Strong analytical skills, able to work with diverse datasets

  • Excellent research, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated and adaptable; thrives in a fast-paced, remote work environment
