Position Overview

Tiko is seeking an experienced individual consultant to support risk management activities through health data audits for our Abuja operations. The consultant will work remotely, dedicating up to 10 days per month for a period of six months. You will play a critical role in data verification, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring, enhancing Tiko’s platform risk management processes.

Scope of Work

Familiarization and Risk Management

  • Gain a thorough understanding of Tiko’s operational methods, objectives, and risk management processes.

  • Engage with existing fraud prevention, detection, and response mechanisms, including reviewing the risk dashboard and related data points.

Data Verification & Audits

  • Conduct primary register data verification against platform data, analyzing discrepancies and identifying gaps in facility record-keeping practices.

  • Perform random audits and spot checks in high-activity areas or anticipated regions.

  • Verify service uptake and compliance by conducting sample verification calls with consenting beneficiaries.

Investigations & Reporting

  • Undertake actor audits and investigations as assigned or deemed necessary.

  • Clearly document audit and investigation findings, communicating results effectively to internal stakeholders to strengthen compliance and controls.

  • Follow-up implementation of audit recommendations, engaging both internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in health data verification, monitoring and evaluation, or related field.

  • Solid understanding of public health data quality management processes (formal qualifications are advantageous).

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven ability to present clear audit findings.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and propose practical solutions.
