Location: Remote (UK-based)
Contract Type: 3-Month Contract
Day Rate: £500–£550/day (Inside IR35)
Security Clearance: Standard DBS required

Role Overview

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Cyber Security to lead its Cyber Security operations on a short-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, implementing cybersecurity dashboards, and ensuring ongoing improvements to the internal security posture. This is a strategic leadership role requiring hands-on technical understanding and strong stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Cyber Security operations function across the organisation

• Develop and manage Cyber Security dashboards and performance indicators

• Identify, assess, and mitigate cyber risks in line with regulatory standards

• Lead daily stand-up meetings and serve as escalation point for technical issues

• Implement and enhance operational processes to improve security posture

• Coordinate across teams including infrastructure and security engineers

• Ensure alignment with legal, regulatory, and industry best practices

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Microsoft Defender

  • Microsoft Sentinel

  • Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)

• Proven experience in team leadership within security and infrastructure domains

• Excellent process improvement and implementation skills

• Clear communication and ability to translate technical details into business terms

• Strong stakeholder management and leadership in remote environments

• Standard DBS check required
