Summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Grants Manager to support long-term recovery efforts for communities affected by the January 2025 Los Angeles Wildfires. This position will focus on managing grants that fund recovery and resilience programs, supporting both individuals and communities. The role includes full-cycle grants management, compliance monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and reporting. This is a hybrid position based in California and part of a disaster recovery operation expected to last at least two years.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of grant strategies, funding goals, and priorities

• Administer grant awards and documentation using internal systems

• Provide training and guidance to grantees on grant processes

• Monitor applications and ensure timely submission of all required documents

• Conduct site visits, reviews, and partner check-ins

• Contribute to impact reporting and grant evaluations

• Participate in RFP processes and ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• At least 5 years of experience in grants management or related field

• Familiarity with online grants systems and outcome-based program tracking

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel if needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in disaster recovery and community-based programs

• Familiarity with community needs assessments

• Volunteer management experience
