Position Overview
Helen Keller Intl seeks a Fundraising Systems Associate to support its External Relations mandate. This position will focus on maintaining the integrity of the donor database systems, ensuring accurate and efficient processing to achieve organizational goals.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy and efficiency. This role reports to the Fundraising Systems Administrator and involves collaboration across multiple internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Database Management
- Maintain and update donor database systems (Raiser’s Edge NXT, Luminate Online).
- Conduct routine quality control to ensure clean and accurate data on donor and gift records.
- Run data hygiene processes, including duplicate record reviews and merges.
Reporting and Analysis
- Create mailing and email lists for outreach campaigns, including segmentation and suppressions.
- Perform quality reviews of generated reports.
Integration and Troubleshooting
- Support integration between Luminate Online, Fundraise Up, and Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Map donation forms, build new appeal codes, and troubleshoot system issues.
Data Operations
- Conduct mass file updates for NCOA and other data services.
- Propose process improvements and recommend leveraging database features.
Training and Support
- Provide technical guidance to staff on best practices for data management and capture.
- Create and update process protocols.
Special Projects
- Act as a backup for other Development Operations functions.
- Collaborate with team members using project management tools (Asana, Basecamp).
Required Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge
- Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge/RENXT, Luminate, or Fundraise Up is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- High attention to detail and adherence to confidentiality.
- Solid Excel skills and database query/export/import experience.
- Analytical mindset to identify areas for process improvement.

Education and Experience
- College degree with at least 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems required, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
Compensation
- Minimum Salary: $61,670
- Midpoint: $74,000
- Maximum: $83,330
Actual salary is based on experience, internal equity, and specialty.

Work Environment
This position is remote, with a preference for candidates on the US East Coast. Other eligible locations will be considered.
