Role Overview
The Field Innovation & Continuous Improvement Advisor plays a pivotal role in bridging World Vision’s global innovation frameworks with real-world implementation at the field level. With hands-on experience leading and scaling local innovations in development or humanitarian settings, you will drive the organization’s innovation culture and continuous improvement efforts. The role involves mentoring field teams, embedding lean innovation practices, and supporting the scale-up of impactful, community-rooted solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Field-Led Innovation: Identify, document, and promote grassroots innovations. Lead design thinking and co-creation workshops to enhance scalability of field-driven solutions.

Continuous Improvement: Guide and expand World Vision’s Kaizen Belt Program for field practitioners. Support teams with lean process improvement initiatives.

Technical Support: Provide coaching and advisory services to field and regional leaders in innovation strategy, learning, and system improvement.

Knowledge Sharing: Curate and share successful innovations through internal knowledge platforms. Support capacity building in global and regional knowledge management teams.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Development, Innovation, Public Administration, or a related field

Lean Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement certification

Proven experience leading innovation in low-resource or complex field environments

Expertise in design thinking, adaptive learning, and systems change

Ability to lead and embed continuous improvement processes

Strong interpersonal, coaching, and facilitation skills

Fluent in English

Willing to travel internationally up to 25%

Comfortable working in resource-constrained field environments
Preferred Qualifications

Experience scaling community-led innovations

Ability to translate global innovation frameworks into field-level tools

Recognized for contributions to innovation and improvement in the humanitarian/development space

Proficiency in French or Spanish highly desirable

This is a remote-based position open to candidates residing in approved World Vision national offices (Kenya, Costa Rica, Honduras, Senegal, Zambia, etc.)
