Facilitator/Consultant on WPS Storytelling (Retainer)

Home-based with travel to various locations

Background Information

Following years of conflict in Yemen, an UN-facilitated ceasefire and ongoing diplomatic dialogues have opened opportunities for a comprehensive, inclusive peace process. To address gaps in representation, particularly of women and youth, the Inclusion Unit at the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY) has been leading consultative meetings. These efforts aim to incorporate women’s and youth perspectives into a Yemeni-led political transition, ensuring their voices contribute to the peace process roadmap.

The Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Storytelling project seeks to document women’s experiences during the conflict, leveraging storytelling as a tool for healing, reconciliation, and policy advocacy. The project aims to preserve personal narratives through film, fostering empathy and advancing women’s roles in peacebuilding.
