Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building, testing, and maintaining tools and infrastructure that enable the rapid development and deployment of Tiko’s software. This role emphasizes security, automation, and continuous improvement to optimize the flow from build to release.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop secure, information-compliant infrastructure for software operations.
  • Automate infrastructure creation, maintenance, and monitoring processes.
  • Set up, test, and maintain tools supporting software development and release pipelines.
  • Document processes for clear future use.
  • Participate in agile team rituals and collaborate on cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

Mandatory

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes container orchestration within the AWS ecosystem.
  • Proficient in AWS tools like RDS, EC2, and SQS, along with Terraform.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Based in Portugal, Kenya, or South Africa.

Preferred

  • Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and GitHub Actions.

Compensation and Benefits

Monthly Salary Brackets:

  • Portugal: €3,110 – €4,665 gross
  • South Africa: R66,605 – R111,008 gross
  • Kenya: Ksh324,264 – Ksh540,440 gross
