About the Role
The Design and Evaluation Lead will support program quality across DT Global’s regional portfolio, providing expert leadership in program design, strategic evaluations, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL). This position will be integral to expanding DT Global’s evaluation capability and supporting partnerships with clients including the Australian Government.
Key Responsibilities
Program Design and Innovation

Lead or contribute to high-quality design of new development investments.

Ensure design processes are evidence-informed, locally led, and aligned with DT Global’s Development Effectiveness Framework.
Evaluation and MEL Technical Leadership

Lead evaluations of international and domestic development programs.

Provide expert input into MEL frameworks, indicators, and evaluation toolkits, with a focus on inclusive and locally led development.

Support performance measurement related to gender equality, disability inclusion, and climate change.
Stakeholder and Client Engagement

Build strong working relationships with clients, implementing partners, and internal teams.

Engage with Australian Federal Government agencies and other donors.
Business Development

Contribute to technical proposal writing for program designs, evaluations, and MEL approaches.

Identify new funding opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region.
Program Quality and Learning

Conduct program health checks and support continuous improvement across portfolios.

Develop and share learning resources such as guidance notes, blogs, and presentations.

Organize learning sessions, communities of practice, and knowledge-sharing events.
Selection Criteria
Qualifications and Experience
-
Degree in program design, evaluation, development studies, or a related field.
-
Proven experience designing complex programs across domestic and/or international contexts.

Demonstrated ability to lead evaluations and develop MEL systems aligned with global standards.

Experience working with governments or donor agencies, including DFAT.

Proficiency in analytical and visualization tools; familiarity with AI-supported tools is a plus.
Desirable Knowledge

Thematic expertise in gender, disability, First Nations engagement, social inclusion, or climate change.

Experience producing and presenting technical and strategic content.
