Job Overview
The Crisis Case Manager (Level 3) will support the IRC’s Home Study and Post-Release Services (HSPRS) program, serving unaccompanied minors in the U.S. You will assess sponsor suitability and provide intensive, trauma-informed case management to ensure child safety and family stability post-release.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct initial home assessments and regular in-person visits (weekly during initial 45-60 days, monthly thereafter).

Develop comprehensive, trauma-informed service plans tailored to each child’s needs.

Perform in-depth evaluations and recommendations regarding sponsor suitability.

Continuously monitor child wellbeing, providing crisis intervention when necessary, including engaging Child Protective Services or law enforcement.

Act as lead in high-risk cases (e.g., trafficking, suicidal ideation).

Connect families to essential resources: legal assistance, medical care, counseling, educational programs, immigration support, and community integration services.

Maintain thorough documentation and timely reporting in case files and databases.

Collaborate and build relationships with local community services.
Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral sciences with clinical training required.

Minimum two years’ case management experience, including conducting assessments, developing service plans, and documentation.

At least one year of experience in Home Study and Post Release Services, foster care, family reunification, child welfare, or related fields.

Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.

Proven expertise in crisis intervention and child protection.

Experience working with immigrant and refugee populations; previous experience with unaccompanied minors strongly preferred.

Ability to travel up to 80% within a 200-mile radius; flexible availability including evenings and weekends.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.

Clearance by ORR, including FBI fingerprinting and Child Abuse/Neglect checks (conducted post-hire).
Working Environment
This fully remote position requires frequent travel and in-person client visits. A dedicated, private workspace is mandatory for remote work.
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Rate: $35.00 – $36.69 USD (based on experience and location).
