Job Summary
As Cotton Senior Coordinator, you will support the Cotton & Fiber Crops Team in achieving Textile Exchange’s goals by managing administrative tasks, coordinating stakeholder engagement, conducting research, and supporting the development of communication materials and events. You will contribute to Textile Exchange’s mission to advance sustainability in cotton production and its supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Team Support
- Assist in developing and executing the cotton strategy while adhering to project goals and timelines.
- Manage complex meetings with multiple stakeholders, including agenda preparation and follow-up.
- Develop communication materials such as PowerPoint decks, formatted documents, and reports.
- Document meeting notes, manage action points, and respond to inquiries in the cotton mailbox.
- Collaborate with team members to build and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
Research and Strategy Development
- Conduct research on cotton-related innovations, trends, and themes.
- Present research findings with key insights and actionable recommendations.
- Provide input to the cotton team on emerging opportunities and areas for future work.
Stakeholder and Group Engagement
- Serve as the primary contact for the Cotton Advisory Group and working groups.
- Schedule meetings, take minutes, and ensure group members stay informed and engaged.
- Manage application processes for new advisory groups.
- Support the Industry Activation Team in planning Cotton Round Table events.
- Maintain the Cotton Round Table Community pages and enhance engagement.
Experience and Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Passion for sustainability and the fashion industry’s positive transformation.
- Strong organizational, planning, and customer service skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (native or bilingual proficiency).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, if needed.
Preferred
- Knowledge of the cotton sector, value chains, and programs.
- Experience gathering and analyzing feedback from global audiences.
- Proficiency in a second language relevant to cotton-producing regions.
Employment Package
- Reports to: Cotton and Crops Lead
- Position: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Location: Remote
- Salary Range: $46,000 – $58,000 USD annually (dependent on experience and location)
