Role Overview
HFHI is seeking a Corporate Development Officer (CDO) – Cause Marketing to lead national and global corporate cause marketing partnerships. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Cause Marketing & Workplace Giving, the CDO will focus on raising $3–5 million annually in support of HFHI’s Global Impact Fund, while managing a portfolio of corporate partners and cultivating new relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Partnership Development

Maintain and grow a pipeline of qualified cause marketing prospects.

Develop compelling partnership proposals and solicit multi-national corporations and agencies.

Collaborate with Habitat affiliates and HFHI peers to identify and cultivate partnership opportunities.

Serve as a subject matter expert on cause marketing and steward workplace giving partners.
Strategic Planning and Campaign Execution

Design tools and strategies to enhance engagement through cause marketing campaigns.

Work with internal marketing, communications, and fundraising teams to develop new initiatives.

Monitor industry trends in consumer behavior, cause marketing, and sponsorship.
Partner Stewardship and Relationship Management

Deliver exceptional service to corporate partners to ensure 100% satisfaction.

Manage renewal processes and expand annual partnership support.

Leverage executive engagement opportunities and customized reporting for high-value partners.
Internal Collaboration and Communication

Build strong relationships with Habitat affiliate leaders and HFHI regional teams.

Facilitate joint development opportunities across Habitat entities.

Share insights and best practices to strengthen organizational partnerships.
Reporting and Analysis

Track key metrics, partner activity, and revenue projections.

Maintain accurate records in the donor management system.

Provide detailed reports on partnership performance and pipeline status.
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree
-
3–5 years’ experience in fundraising, cause marketing, or prospect development

Proven record of securing six- and seven-figure corporate partnerships

Knowledge of corporate social responsibility and international partnership strategy

Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

Familiarity with Habitat’s global mission

Experience in new business development or shopper marketing

Understanding of global affiliate models and nonprofit partnership ecosystems
Compensation and Benefits
US Salary Range: $86,700 – $102,000 (based on experience and location)
