The Nature Hub’s Food Systems team helps countries build resilient food systems that promote livelihoods and environmental protection.

Background

The Food Systems Knowledge Solutions team (Pillar C) supports more than 750 practitioners globally across several major multi-country programmes, including FOLUR (World Bank), SLPI (SECO), GCP III, BGI-IP (UNDP), and FS-IP (FAO & IFAD). The team manages a dedicated Digital Collaborative Knowledge Platform to enable global learning, knowledge sharing, and policy development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and Oversee the Operations of the Food Systems Community

  • Supervise the operations of the Food Systems Community and its team.

  • Ensure high-quality delivery of all virtual learning events.

  • Oversee functionality and continuous improvement of the Digital Collaborative Knowledge Platform.

  • Develop and execute community dissemination strategies, including through social media, events, and donor outreach.

Establish Knowledge Management Services

  • Develop and improve coordination, integration, and monitoring mechanisms for multi-country programmes.

  • Support technical experts with knowledge management-related tasks.

  • Ensure contractual deliverables are met and documented.

  • Track indicators, collect data, and prepare donor reports.

Coordinate Capacity Development

  • Organize and coordinate virtual and in-person learning events and workshops.

  • Document and disseminate lessons learned through relevant communities of practice.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks within the functional profile as needed.

Institutional Arrangement

  • Fully remote role.

  • Reports to the Senior Advisor Learning & Impact.

  • Responsible for personal work equipment and reliable internet access.

  • Expected to be available for global consultations across time zones.

  • Regular engagement via email, Teams, and Zoom.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Economics, ICT, Environment, Agriculture, Social Sciences, or related fields.

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 2 additional years of relevant experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years (Master’s) or 7 years (Bachelor’s) of experience in food and agricultural commodity sectors.

  • Proven experience in knowledge management roles.

  • Experience organizing capacity development and learning events.

  • Experience with online community platforms is desirable.

  • Experience with UNDP, other UN agencies, NGOs, or donors is an asset.

  • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation of communities of practice is preferred.

  • Experience with multi-country programmes is desirable.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

  • Fluency in French or Spanish is also required.

  • Additional UN languages are an asset.
