Salary: £20,934 pro rata (£37,382 FTE)
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (21 hours/week over 4 or 5 days)

About HOPE UK

The Hope Foundation for Street Children (HOPE UK) is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting street-connected and slum-dwelling children in Kolkata, India. Through fundraising and awareness, HOPE UK supports 60+ projects covering healthcare, education, protection, and vocational training via its partner, The Hope Kolkata Foundation.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Communications & Digital Marketing Manager to raise awareness and grow support for our mission. You will create and manage content across our digital platforms, deliver our UK comms and marketing strategy, and engage our audience to drive donations and sponsorships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging, on-brand content (website, email, social media).

  • Manage a content calendar and schedule campaigns to support fundraising.

  • Monitor and grow social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn); respond in real-time as needed.

  • Produce segmented newsletters using Mailchimp and manage Beacon CRM integration.

  • Maintain and optimise the WordPress Elementor website with SEO and Google Ad Grant integration.

  • Analyse campaign performance using data-driven insights (Google Analytics).

  • Manage Google Ads and ensure GDPR and copyright compliance.

  • Support PR efforts through press releases as needed.

  • Coordinate with the UK fundraising team, HOPE Ireland, and HOPE Kolkata teams.

  • Oversee marketing budget and represent HOPE UK at events when required.

  • Be available for potential travel to Kolkata and flexible for live campaign demands.

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven communications and digital marketing experience in the charity sector.

  • Excellent writing, content creation, and audience engagement skills.

  • Solid understanding of calls-to-action for fundraising campaigns.

  • Experience with:

    • WordPress Elementor

    • Mailchimp

    • Beacon CRM

    • Hootsuite or other scheduling tools

    • SEO, Google Analytics, and Google Ad Grants

    • Canva, basic video/photo editing (Photoshop, etc.)

  • Strong initiative, team spirit, flexibility, and communication.

  • Ability to manage content calendar and analytics independently.

Desirable:

  • Affinity with Indian culture.

  • Experience using a MacBook.
