Introduction
UNICEF China is seeking Communication Multimedia Producers to support the creation of compelling visual and digital content that advances child rights advocacy, public campaigns, donor engagement, and program communication. Through a Long-Term Arrangement (LTA) of 36 months, consultants will deliver high-quality multimedia materials — including video, audio, and photography — that tell impactful stories and strengthen UNICEF’s digital presence.

Key Responsibilities
Selected consultants will be expected to:

Produce high-quality video, photo, and multimedia content for advocacy campaigns, celebrity engagement, donor communication, behavior change initiatives, and media events.

Deliver professional visual storytelling that highlights the impact of UNICEF’s work and amplifies children’s voices.

Prepare scripts, captions, and metadata for multimedia products.

Shoot broadcast-quality video and professional photos, including interviews, events, and documentary-style storytelling.

Edit video content into packages suitable for social media, web, and broadcast platforms.
-
Deliver bilingual (Chinese/English) content when required.

Provide UNICEF with all original and edited materials, ensuring they meet UNICEF’s technical and branding standards.
Qualifications / Requirements
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
-
Diplomas in photography, filmmaking, journalism, communications, or marketing are an asset.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in photojournalism, video journalism, or multimedia production.
-
Familiarity with child rights-sensitive photography and videography.
-
Experience with international organizations or child-focused projects preferred.

Proven ability to manage large-scale or international photo/video projects.
Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in producing photo essays, scripts, captions, and multimedia content.

Strong skills in shooting, editing, and packaging high-quality video and photography.

Ability to produce English, Chinese, and international split-audio track versions.
-
Video editing skills for news-style and documentary-style content.
-
Ability to shoot both stills and video is highly desirable.
Other Requirements:

Must be based in China (candidates from Beijing or regional hubs such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Hangzhou, Wuhan are encouraged to apply).

Must have personal professional equipment, including:

HD cameras capable of 1080P video

Professional sound recording equipment

Editing software and computing facilities

Language:

Fluency in English or Chinese required.

Bilingual proficiency (Chinese and English) is a strong asset.
