Role Overview

World Vision is hiring a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their global IT team. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring cloud service availability, performance, and scalability across the organization. This position blends software engineering with IT operations to create resilient, observable systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Automation: Build, monitor, and maintain automated deployment and self-healing systems

• Observability & Monitoring: Define and track SLOs/SLIs, develop monitoring dashboards

• Incident Response: Handle incident resolution and participate in on-call rotations

• Operational Excellence: Improve system reliability using testing, chaos engineering, and automation

• Global Collaboration: Partner with developers and regional IT staff to ensure consistent service delivery

• Agile Delivery: Contribute within Agile teams, embracing continuous improvement and adaptive planning

Preferred Tools & Technologies

• Strongly Preferred: Terraform, Azure DevOps

• Highly Desirable: GitHub Actions, Ansible, PowerShell, Python

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)

• Hands-on experience with cloud observability tools and incident management frameworks

• Proficient in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, Go)

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset

• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially security-first practices
