The Opportunity
Kiva is hiring a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide the organization’s financial strategy and operations. Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering with the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will oversee all financial functions including planning, compliance, fund management, and budgeting across Kiva and its affiliates.
This role is instrumental in helping Kiva scale responsibly while deepening its impact globally.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and Operational Leadership

Direct all financial operations: planning, accounting, audit, tax, treasury, and fiscal management.

Oversee complex fund structures, including off-balance sheet operations aligned with social impact objectives.

Shape and drive capital and sustainability strategies that support long-term impact.
Forecasting & Compliance

Lead strategic forecasting and financial modeling for Kiva’s assets, liabilities, and revenue streams.

Maintain strong internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance, including audits and IRS filings.
Reporting & Systems

Deliver timely and actionable insights to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders.

Oversee financial tools and systems to enhance transparency and operational effectiveness.
Budgeting & Team Management

Lead annual and multi-year budgeting processes across all departments.

Mentor and manage the Finance team to build a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with executives to align financial planning with Kiva’s mission.

Communicate financial plans and performance clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
You might be a great fit if you:

Bring 10–15+ years of financial leadership experience across FP&A, treasury, audit, and accounting.

Have a track record of managing financial assets, capital strategies, and complex fund structures.

Are skilled in nonprofit finance, fintech, or impact investing (preferred but not required).

Possess strong analytical, forecasting, and systems development abilities.

Have executive-level presence, and lead with transparency, collaboration, and accountability.

Compensation & Benefits
