The Mozilla Foundation is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst to support its mission of keeping the internet open and accessible. This remote job offers the opportunity to shape Mozilla’s data strategy while working at the intersection of technology, ethics, and global impact.

As a key member of the Technology Platforms team, you will help build data pipelines, dashboards, and insights that drive smarter decisions across Mozilla Foundation’s operations. You’ll promote a culture of data literacy, ensure alignment with Mozilla’s privacy-first values, and empower teams through ethical and lean data practices.

What You’ll Do

Analytics & Data Analysis (50%)

  • Build privacy-conscious datasets using AWS tools (Redshift, Athena, S3)

  • Write SQL queries and transform raw data for dashboards and analysis

  • Identify trends, outliers, and insights through statistical analysis

  • Respond to real-time data requests from stakeholders

Collaboration & Enablement (30%)

  • Design interactive dashboards using Power BI

  • Enable self-service BI across departments

  • Support data fluency and interpretation for non-technical users

Data Governance & Stewardship (20%)

  • Uphold Mozilla’s lean data principles

  • Document data sources and logic for organizational transparency

  • Identify opportunities to improve data accessibility and quality

Who You Are

  • 3+ years as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role

  • Proficient in Power BI, SQL, and AWS data tools

  • Strong communicator with the ability to explain technical ideas simply

  • Committed to ethical data use and Mozilla’s values around privacy and openness

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven, remote environment

Compensation & Benefits

Target Salary Ranges (sample markets):

  • US: $62,700 – $70,481.60

  • Canada: $84,645 – $95,150.16

  • UK: ÂŁ40,629.60 – ÂŁ45,672.08

  • Germany: €49,031.40 – €55,116.61

  • Adjusted higher ranges for London and New York available
