About CHAI
The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global health organization working in over 40 countries to strengthen health systems, improve access to life-saving medicines, and address infectious and non-communicable diseases. Founded in 2002 during the HIV/AIDS crisis, CHAI now works across a wide range of areas including HIV, COVID-19, malaria, tuberculosis, vaccines, maternal and child health, and nutrition.
CHAI partners with governments and health institutions to scale solutions, strengthen systems, and maximize sustainable impact.
Internship Overview
The CHAI Internship Program 2026 offers students and early-career professionals a chance to gain immersive experience in global public health, working on high-priority initiatives with real-world impact.
As a CHAI intern, you will:

Contribute to research, analysis, and project management.

Collaborate with international and local teams.

Support government partners and healthcare organizations.

Develop leadership, problem-solving, and cross-cultural communication skills.
Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned department/program, interns may support:

Data-Driven Insights – Research, data modeling, and analysis for program strategies.

Project Support – Assist in design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

Strategic Collaboration – Brainstorm innovative solutions with CHAI teams.

Stakeholder Engagement – Coordinate with governments, NGOs, and local partners.

Knowledge Management – Draft reports, presentations, and best practices.

Operational Support – Assist with logistics, finance, communications, and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a graduate or final-year undergraduate program in public health, international development, economics, business, or related fields.

Strong passion for CHAI’s mission and global health.

Skills in research, data analysis, and Microsoft Office (knowledge of SPSS, Excel, or Python is an asset).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in English (other languages spoken in CHAI’s countries are an advantage).
