The Job
As the HR Director, you will lead the global human resources department’s tactical and operational functions, ensuring smooth HR processes and providing organizational and personnel support.
Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering
- Support managers and teams with day-to-day people needs, including performance, talent management, and onboarding.
HR and Benefits Administration
- Ensure accurate and timely HR and benefits administration compliant with local regulations.
- Benchmark and provide appropriate benefits across all markets.
Performance and Disciplinary Management
- Support managers in executing performance management processes and oversee global disciplinary cases.
HR Analytics
- Implement and improve tracking systems to monitor organizational performance and recommend enhancements.
HR Policies
- Ensure HR policies are aligned with Tiko’s culture and local laws.
DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)
- Foster a workplace that is inclusive and welcoming to all, regardless of gender, race, nationality, or background.
Culture and Change Management
- Support organizational growth while reinforcing the positive aspects of Tiko’s culture.
About You
You are a hands-on problem solver with strong interpersonal skills, able to build trust and navigate complex HR situations. You communicate effectively and are data-driven, tech-savvy, and adaptable to diverse settings.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar international HR role and 10+ years of general HR experience.
- Experience in HR processes across three or more countries.
- Proven skills in coaching, mentoring, and leading diverse teams through change.
- Experience setting up HR operations for new entities in different countries.
- HR analytics experience is a plus.
- Fluency in French is desirable.
The Rewards
Tiko offers a transparent salary structure:
- Kenya: Ksh574,706 – Ksh718,382 gross per month.
- Uganda: UGX18,083,325 – UGX22,604,156 gross per month.
Salary will depend on experience and alignment with peers.
