Summary
We are seeking an Impact Manager to join our growing team. The role involves designing, managing, and scaling impact projects, with an emphasis on sustainable agricultural practices. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of professional experience, including strategy consulting at a managerial level and expertise in sectors such as carbon sequestration, agritech, agriscience, or climate tech.
Key Responsibilities
Project Identification & Design
- Identify projects to fund for impact in the agricultural sector.
- Conduct impact and ROI evaluations, as well as risk assessments for candidate projects.
- Design in-house impact programs, including strategy, implementation plans, and pilot testing.
- Negotiate with partners and coordinate public relations for project rollout.
Implementation & Scaling
- Run, monitor, and evaluate results of impact programs.
- Scale successful initiatives to increase their reach and impact.
- Collaborate with external partners in the private sector and government for smooth project execution.
Team Leadership & Management
- Manage junior team members in the Impact department.
- Support field teams and visit projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in strategy consulting, finance, or private equity at an associate or managerial level.
- Additional 3+ years of experience in sectors such as tech, VC-funded startups, or impact investing.
- University degree in science or engineering (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and experience with large datasets.
- Proven client management and problem-structuring skills.
- Ability to manage a multicultural team remotely and/or in person.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in carbon sequestration, agritech, agriscience, or climate tech.
- Proficiency in languages such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, Swahili, Indonesian, or Vietnamese.
Compensation
Compensation is competitive within the sustainability sector.
